Who We Are

The Council of the Ṭālibid Ashrāf in Sudan represents the unifying house for the noble descendants of Amīr al-Muʾminīn ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib (may Allah be pleased with him).

Our organization brings together a distinguished group of noble Ashrāf from across the various states of Sudan, working to strengthen the bonds of connection among members of the Hāshimī household and to spread the values of love, tolerance, and mutual solidarity derived from the noble heritage of Āl al-Bayt.

We also contribute to serving Sudanese society through religious, social, and cultural activities.

Our Leadership

The genealogist and researcher Dr. ʿUmar al-Khalīfah Mirghānī al-Qāsimī al-Ḥusaynī al-Hāshimī serves as: Naqīb (Chief) of al-Sādah al-Tisʿīn al-Qawāsim al-Ḥusaynīyīn, Naqīb of the Ashrāf al-Hāshimiyyīn in Sudan, and Naqīb of the Ashrāf al-Ṭālibiyyīn in Sudan.

His deputy is As-Sayyid ash-Sharīf al-Miqdād ibn Ismāʿīl ibn al-Khalīfah Mirghānī al-Ḥusaynī al-Hāshimī al-Qurashī.

He descends through Shaybah (ʿAbdul-Muṭṭalib), ʿAmr (Hāshim), al-Mughīrah (ʿAbd Manāf), Quṣayy, Kilāb, Murrah, Kaʿb, Luʾayy, Ghālib, Fihr (Quraysh), Mālik, an-Naḍr, Kinānah, Khuzaymah, Mudrikah, Ilyās, Muḍar, Nizār, Maʿd, and ʿAdnān, of the descendants of Ismāʿīl (ʿalayhi as-salām).

We take pride in the unity of all Sādah and Ashrāf Ṭālibiyyīn Qurashiyyīn under the umbrella of this council — preserving their shared history while envisioning a unified and dignified future.
